How to find SolidWorks Serial Number?

Hi Tech Guys! In this blog we will see how to find the location of SOLIDWORKS License Key.

Whenever you install SOLIDWORKS software on your hardware, we need the license key to be activated to continue our work.

Major Types:

Standalone License - Identified using the trick, the 3rd number is "0"

NetWork License (Floating) - The 3rd number is "1"

After activated the product, whenever you want to transfer the license to another machine. You must deactivate it first.

Where we can find the License Key?

1. Open SOLIDWORKS > Help > About > Show Serial Number.

For Standalone License

2. Open Registry (Win + R > regedit)  >  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SolidWorks\Licenses\Serial Numbers

For NetWork License

3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\SolidWorks\Licenses\Serial Numbers
